Frivolous Fashion Friday - Edition 31

Wow, it's been a while since my last post. With the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary and then the holidays, I felt I needed to take a break from blogging. It was really nice! And I'll admit I did a lot of veggin' on the couch. Yup, I was a total couch potato. The reason I spent soo much time watching TV, The Vampire Diaries. How had I never seen or really even heard of  this show before? OMG is it good! It has quickly become my favorite show of all time. The story is great, the acting is great. It just draws me in and "compels" me to keep watching episode after episode. They've been going for 4 1/2 seasons and I just caught up today. That means in the past few weeks I've watched 75 episodes! Yes, it is that good. You must watch it. But give it 4 to 5 shows, you have to get the whole story. Netflix has the first 3 seasons and you can watch season 4 online. I'm really looking forward to it coming back on January 17th!  =)  Oh and by the way I'm not the only one addicted - Miss E and her best friend, a couple friends of mine and my hubby all love it too, thanks to me. Really, try it! And no, it is nothing like Twilight. It is much better! Don't hate me, I love Twilight too, but this is waaaaay better. Trust me.

Anyway, enough about the best show ever. lol This week life finally got back to normal when the girls went back to school on Tuesday. I even volunteered in Miss A's class this morning. That's why this post is late. I thought this would be a good week to feature scarves. They are definitely one of the "it" accessories right now and I own my fair share. Although I could always use a few more, right?  ; )  Scarves are a great way to make even a t-shirt and jeans look more put together and thought out. And there are a myriad of ways to wear them. At the end of this post I'll post a video to help you out. Lets get started, shall we? Warning - this is a long post.

First up the infinity scarf.

Moving onto classic scarves.

And lastly lets have a look at some scarves that are crocheted/knitted or have ruffles, fringe, etc.

Here's a video showing you 25 ways to tie a scarf!

Thanks for joining me this week. If you have any ideas for a future Frivolous Fashion Friday post, don't be shy, send it my way. I love hearing from you.

  1. I love all of your fashion posts Catie! And now you have convinced me...my daughter has Vampire Diaries in her room...Season 1, 2 & 3! And I'm going to watch them per your recommendation! I get so bored with TV sometimes...I feel as though there is nothing to watch despite having a gazillion channels. Angie xo
